Side Projects Productions
Port Mallillin was a student of Performing Arts and Popular Music at South Thames College in West London in the late 90's. He was a drummer to a punk rock band called All You Can Eat. In the following year, Port Mallillin co-founded a group called Fusing Naked (later renamed as Fusing Naked Beats), in which he evolved as a lyricist to its debut album entitled ''Stolen Generation'' in 2004. Fusing Naked Beats was nominated for "The Best Alternative Act 2008" and "The Best Underground Act 2009" respectively in the UK Asian Music Awards. During this early period in Port's music career, he started doing other projects on the side involving his own culture and arts, more specifically the Original Pilipino Music. Side Projects has emerged from this.
Side Projects became a pop/rock band too and has toured the UK in variety of musical events and had the opportunities to share the same stage with the likes of Hotdog, Siakol, 4th Impact, The Youth, Charice Pempengco, Kim Idol, and 70's Superband.
Just like his late father Jun Mallillin (Composer of "Dahil Mahal Kita" of The Boyfriends), Port has a penchant for writing music too. Here are some of his original compositions:
The Boyfriends - Siya O Ako
Gia Macuja - If Ever
Nitoy M. - Sana Ngayong Pasko
Side Projects - Sa Paglalakbay (Theme music for Juan Eu Konek)
Side Projects - Tingala't Magkaisa (Jingle for Juan Eu Konek Halalan 2016)
